In An Unspoken Voice: How the Body Releases Trauma and Restores Goodness
with Dr. Peter Levine and Maggie Phillips, Ph.D.

Dr. Peter Levine is the creator of the Somatic Experiencing® method of healing trauma and author of the landmark book, Waking the Tiger: Healing Trauma, as well as 6 more recent books and CD programs, including his new book, In An Unspoken Voice (available for purchase here). This series of teleseminars with Peter Levine and Maggie Phillips will include a three 60-minute presentations (each followed by a 30-minute live question and answer session) with Peter and Maggie on key issues related to this topic. This will truly be an opportunity to “ask the experts.” You will also have an opportunity to submit questions in advance of the call to influence how we organize our presentations.

March 24: Restoring Goodness

• How the body creates transformative experiences: Bottom-up Processing and the Polyvagal System
• Translating the unspoken language of the body: Case examples
• Recognizing pathways to body wisdom, meaning and purpose
• Tracking the body's solutions to pain, fear, panic, worry and depression
• Deciphering the unspoken language of emotion
• Keys to success with children and adolescents
• Special issues: Working with sexual abuse and rape; severe accident, illness and pain syndromes; victims of disaster, war, and torture

The fee for this series is $150 and includes the following benefits:

1) Three 60-minute “live,” “content rich” telephone presentatons on an important and unique topic.
2) Three 30-minute live question and answer sessions to allow you to ask the speakers additional questions.
3) An opportunity to hear Peter Levine, international expert on Somatic Experiencing®, without the inconvenience and expense of travel. All you need is a telephone!
4) Exciting dialogues that will stimulate synergistic responses for the speakers as well as the listeners.
5) Study guides in advance to help prepare you for the calls and to use afterwards to help integrate what you learned.
6) An opportunity to submit your questions in advance of the live tleseminars (click here); this is particularly valuable if you will not be able to attend live or to ensure that your topics of interest are addressed.
6) Access to unlimited online replay of the call and access to a downloadable recording in mp3 format so you can listen (and re-listen) at any time. This allows you to participate freely without writing down every idea that interests you. Instead, you can reinforce your learning by listening to parts or all of the call later.

Highlights: You also have the option of receiving streamlined, carefully edited "Highlights" version of all three of the complete teleseminar transcripts. These are text documents, downloadable as PDFs so you can read on screen or print. There is an additional $45 fee to take advantage of this option — just select the Highlights package when you register. Please note: this option is only available to those who are registered in the teleseminar and can only be purchased at the time of registration.

To join the live teleseminars, you will have the option of dialing in by telephone (long-distance telephone charges apply) or logging in online using your web browser (at no additional charge), whichever you prefer. Or you can simply listen to the recordings at your convenience (or download them to your computer or other mp3 listening device) any time during the 30 days following each live event.

In order to keep the costs of the course as low as possible, toll free access to the telesession is not included in the fee, though there are no additional fees from your long distance carrier. This will be a call to a U.S. number. You may already have access to inexpensive or unlimited long-distance phone service that can be used for this purpose. Otherwise, we recommend the usage of inexpensive phone cards or pre-paid phone services to reduce your costs (cell phones with good reception are also acceptable).

If telephone cost is a concern, you can listen to the live teleseminar on your web browser for free. However, you will not be able to join the call or be heard by other participants unless you call in by telephone. Web participants will be able to ask questions during the teleseminar via a text form on the website.
